Alcohol products from the United States have become a major target amid the ongoing trade war with Canada.

In Ontario, the LCBO pulled all U.S.-made alcohol off of its shelves.

“As part of Ontario’s response strategy to U.S. tariffs, the government of Ontario has directed LCBO to take operational steps to implement restrictions on all U.S. beverage alcohol sales and related imports into Ontario, effective immediately,” a news release from the LCBO said on March 4.

U.S.-made products are no longer available for purchase through the LCBO either online or in-store.

Other provinces have also made similar decisions.

Amid the removal of U.S.-made products from shelves, coupled with the push to buy Canadian, have sales of made-in-Canada alcohol products gone up?

It appears so, with some products seeing larger increases than others.
