Police are searching for an “armed and dangerous” suspect wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for the shooting death of a Toronto man earlier this month.
The shooting happened around 8 p.m. on Feb. 5 in the area of Sherbourne Street and Queen Street East, the Toronto Police Service says.
Officers arrived on the scene to find a 43-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man, later identified as Lyle Pounall, was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he was pronounced dead.
Toronto police now say Dellano Robertson-Berry, 24, of Toronto, is wanted on a Canada-Wide warrant for the second-degree murder of Pounall.
“The suspect is considered armed and dangerous,” police say. “If anyone sees him, do not approach, and call 9-1-1 immediately.”
