Montreal police (SPVM) confirmed that a 15-year-old was injured during an armed assault in Montreal North on Friday night.
According to authorities, the SPVM received a 911 call around 8:45 p.m., reporting that a person had been inured with a sharp object near the intersection of Tardif Avenue and Monty Avenue.
“When police arrived at the scene, they located the victim, a 15-year-old teenager, who was conscious and had sustained upper body injuries from a sharp object,” said an SPVM spokesperson.
The teen was transported to hospital, but as of Saturday morning his life is not in danger.
“The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently unknown. The canine unit was requested at the scene to search for evidence.”
No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
