Charges have been laid after an armed home invasion saw suspects return days later to steal an SUV in Milton, police say.
The break-in happened on Jan. 12 around 1 a.m. when three suspects broke into a home in the area of Walnut Landing and Proud Drive, Halton Regional Police say.
Two of the suspects were carrying handguns while a third was armed with a hammer, and police say they confronted an adult female inside the home while an adult female hid from the intruders.
Police say the robbers stole designer clothing items, jewelry, bank cards and the keys to a Dodge Durango before fleeing in a waiting Honda Civic hatchback driven by a fourth suspect.
And then on Jan. 18, police say two of the suspects returned to the home and stole the Dodge Durango from the home’s driveway.
