Armed carjacking, police chase in Ontario town lead to arrest of teenager; one still at large [Video]

A teenager is in custody after an armed carjacking in Bowmanville early Saturday morning, with a second suspect still on the loose.

The victim in the incident was delivering newspapers and was sitting in his vehicle at a delivery stop near Clarington Boulevard and Prince William Boulevard just before 5 a.m. when he was approached by two masked suspects, one carrying a gun. The armed suspect forcibly removed the victim from the vehicle. The suspects then took off in the stolen vehicle.

A short time later officers located the stolen vehicle travelling westbound on Highway 401. The suspects exited the highway at Westney Road in Ajax, where the vehicle left the roadway and struck a traffic light pole. Both suspects fled the scene on foot.

After a brief foot pursuit, officers placed one of the suspects in custody. The second suspect remains outstanding and police are asking anyone with cell …
