Armed home invasion in Ontario city sends one victim to hospital with bullet wound [Video]

Police are looking for five men – three of them armed with handguns – who terrorized the occupants of a home in Pickering Thursday night, with one of the victims hospitalized after being grazed by gunfire.

Durham Police said five masked suspects forced the occupants from the patio into the home at gunpoint and searched the residence. Two gunshots were fired when the victims confronted the suspects and one person was grazed by a bullet.

The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are looking for five male Black suspects who fled in a dark-coloured sedan.

No other injuries were reported.

Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident at this time and are asking anyone with cell phone, dash cam, surveillance footage or information about this incident to contact Det. Obront of the West Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2304.
