Yukon Quest Alaska 550 Winner

The Yukon Quest Alaska 550-mile race has crowned its winner, Musher Jeff Deeter. A video shared by Yukon Quest Alaska on Facebook shows Deeter crossing the finish line in Tok. The race took him 5 days and nearly 4 hours to complete, starting from Fairbanks.

Canyon Road Travel Advisory

Alaska State Parks officials are warning visitors to Chugach State Park that Canyon Road is not recommended for travel due to extreme conditions. Photos show frozen ice flows covering the road, and reports have emerged of vehicles sliding off the road.
