Improved Infant Health in Alaska

Hospitalizations from RSV among children under 20 months have dropped by 50% in the Yukon-Kuskokwim region. The health department credits nirsevimab for protecting nearly half the region’s children.

According to the Alaska Department of Health: “In Alaska’s Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation region, nirsevimab protected nearly half of all children under 20 months from severe RSV in the 2023-24 season, slashing hospitalizations by 50%.”
