ASP: Two dead, two injured in Sunday crash [Video]

MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) – Arkansas State Police have identified the victims in a fatal multi-vehicle crash in Mississippi County.

The crash happened at 5:25 p.m. Jan. 12 on State Highway 18 near Big Lake.

According to the preliminary fatal crash report, a 2024 GMC Yukon SUV driven by 72-year-old Keeley Wheeler, of Blytheville, veered left, crossing the center turn lane.

ASP said 37-year-old Patricia Edge, of Leachville, driving a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder SUV, tried to veer right to avoid being hit by Wheeler’s SUV and struck a 2005 Ford Ranger truck. The truck, driven by an unidentified driver, went off the right side of the road as a result.

The report stated that Wheeler hit Edge’s SUV head-on, causing both vehicles to stop.

ASP said both Edge and Wheeler died due to the crash. …
