Assassins Creed Shadows World Similar in Size to Origins [Video]

That’s a big enough map for some serious exploration.

According to Simon Lemay-Comtois, associate game director at Ubisoft Quebec, the world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is roughly the size of Egypt in Assassin’s Creed Origins.

In an interview with VGC, Lemay-Comtois discussed the title’s scope and what players can expect from the franchise’s new Japanese setting.

“It’s about roughly similar to Origins, so it’s smaller than Valhalla in terms of territory,” he said. “There is some body of water around Japan, but it’s not like [Odyssey’s] Greece was, half water. With Japan that’s not the case. We have the coastlines and Lake Biwa is a very big lake, but the map’s roughly the size of Origins.”

Created under the codename Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, the world premiere trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows was unveiled last month.
