PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Prices at the grocery store are expected to increase amid the trade wars between the Trump administration and America’s top three trading countries.

“Yeah, I’m not feeling good about those tariffs,” said a Valley mom.

She is preparing to feel the pinch on her grocery bills in the next few days after President Trump signed an executive order to slap a 25% tariff on Mexico and Canada and a 10% tax on China.

“I feel pretty certain that all of those tariffs will be passed right onto us,” she said.

Hitendra Chaturvedi, a Supply Chain Management professor at ASU, agrees.

“The tariff that we are putting on Canadian goods and Mexican goods – the companies are not going to be hurt because of this. The companies are going to jack up the price, in some cases more than 25%. And these tariffs are going to be passed onto us,” …
