Attempted murder charges have been laid after a head-on crash in Niagara Falls that left multiple people injured.
Niagara Regional Police said that on Nov. 9 at around 3:15 p.m., officers responded to the area of Kalar and Montrose roads, near the QEW and Mountain Road, for a serious crash.
Police said a 52-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Equinox north on Kalar Road while a 63-year-old woman was driving a Jeep Compass southbound.
The vehicles collided head-on, police said.
The 52-year-old man was taken to an out-of-region hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 63-year-old woman was also taken to an out-of-region hospital with life-threatening injuries, but she was in stable condition, police said at the time.
Two passengers in the Jeep — a 63-year-old woman and a 64-year-old woman — were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
