As Tropical Cyclone Alfred—which could cause “dangerous and life-threatening” flash flooding—inches closer to making landfall in Queensland, one surfing enthusiast in the Australian state was spotted catching waves in a viral video on TikTok.

The surfer was captured in a video posted by @nataaliejoyy, which has garnered 2.5 million views since it was shared on Wednesday.

A note across the screen simply reads “Alfred who?” as a crowd of people are seen watching the surfer riding the waves along the beach.

The footage was captured in Burleigh Hill, a park in the Gold Coast, a coastal city just outside Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland, according to the location shared with the post.
