B.C. Conservation Officer Service investigating bear shot near Tumbler Ridge [Video]

TUMBLER RIDGE –The B.C. Conservation Officer Service is investigating a bear that was shot and killed in the Peace Region.

The bear was found near Tumbler Ridge on the side of Highway 52 in October. Witnesses say it was killed by a bullet that passed right through the animal. According to media reports the bear was killed illegally.

Because the matter is currently under investigation Conservation Officers are not providing more details at this time.
