Battleship North Carolina in Wilmington to display lights for Two Lights for Tomorrow [Video]

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Cities across Southeastern North Carolina are joining the rest of the state to celebrate ‘Two Lights For Tomorrow’, an event that honors Paul Revere’s famous ride.

Communities will use imagery of two shining lights from statehouses and other significant buildings to commemorate the beginning of the American Revolution.

In Wilmington, the Battleship North Carolina will display two white lights from the ship’s aft superstructure on April 18.

Topsail Island plans to light the Assembly building and put on a drone light show on the beach.

Other participants around the state include:

  • Museum of the Albemarle
  • N.C. Transportation Museum
  • Historic Bethabara Park
  • Historic Halifax
  • Historic Camden County Courthouse
  • Eastern Cabarrus Historical Society in Mt. Pleasant
  • House in the Horseshoe State Historic Site

Communities also putting together proclamations and events include New Bern, Waxahaw, Pinehurst, Harrells, Roanoke Rapids, High Shoals, Currituck County, Camden County and McDowell County.
