BEAUMONT, Texas — An SUV carrying eight people crashed into a tree early Saturday morning, leaving several passengers and the driver with serious injuries, according to Beaumont police.
The major crash happened around 2:16 a.m. in the 4400 block of Concord Road.
Investigators say a silver Yukon went off-road at Redwood Street and Concord Rd. before overcorrecting and striking a tree, folding the SUV around it.
Beaumont police, EMS, and fire personnel responded to the crash and found all eight passengers trapped inside the mangled vehicle.
Emergency crews began immediate extraction efforts.
