A Brampton man is celebrating his first big win after playing with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) for more than 20 years.

The OLG announced in a news release Tuesday that Perfecto Adajar won a $1 million maxmillion prize in the Aug. 20 Lotto Max draw.

The married father of one, who works as an IT specialist, likes to play a variety of OLG games and chooses numbers that correlate with family birthdays, the release said.

Adajar saw that he won when he checked his ticket using the OLG app.

“When I saw the prize amount, I was shocked and thankful,” he said in the OLG release.

“It took all day for reality to settle in. I shared the good news with my wife and kid, they were so happy. They said I deserve this win because I have always been a hard worker.”
