Texas A&M picks Kibler to be VP for Student Affairs

Texas A&M University announced Bill Kibler as its new vice president for Student Affairs on Thursday. Kibler, who has been serving as acting president of the College of Southern Nevada since last July, will take over at Texas A&M on Aug. 1.

Kibler was chosen over two other finalists, Cynthia L. Hernandez of Texas State University-San Marcos, and Ainsley Carry of the University of British Columbia in Canada.

The Division of Student Affairs at Texas A&M is comprised of 13 departments that provides a wide variety of programs, services and facilities to support students. Kibler will become the seventh full-time vice president for Student Affairs since the position was established in 1974.
