OVERNIGHT – THURSDAY:A cold front from Canada brought snow showers and gusts above 30 mph to our region throughout Wednesday, but by the evening hours, any leftover gusts and showers died down. In return, however, a colder air mass started pushing into our region, and overnight, that air mass will linger, leading to morning lows in the single digits to teens below zero across our region. Wind chills will be in the teens to 20s below zero, with Lakes Country expecting chills as low as 35 below zero, due to light winds. As a result, a Cold Weather Advisory will be in effect in northern Lakes Country until 9 AM Thursday. By the afternoon hours, temperatures do climb into the single digits above zero, but we’re still looking at wind chills in the single digits to low teens below zero.
