A body was found inside a limo that caught fire in the parking lot of a Whitby hotel Thursday morning.

Durham Police were called to the Holiday Inn Express on Consumers Drive just before 9 a.m. after Whitby Fire notified officers they had found a body inside the vehicle after they had extinguished the blaze.

The Coroner and the Ontario Fire Marshal are on the scene investigating the incident and Durham Police said there is “no evidence” to suggest any concern for public safety.
