Border Patrol arrested 113 people in April at the Maine-Canada border, the most in 24 years.

MAINE, USA — U.S. Border Patrol agents report that they continue to see high numbers of arrests along the Maine-Canada border.

Last Friday, agents flew 42 people who were in the country illegally from Presque Isle to Detroit for further processing.

In April, Border Patrol arrested 113 people from 16 different countries in the region. Officials say it was the highest monthly arrest number in 24 years.
