The struggling Boston Bruins fired head coach Jim Montgomery on Tuesday.His firing comes less than a day after Boston’s 5-1 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets. It was Boston’s third consecutive loss. With a record of 8-9-3, Boston is in 3rd place in the NHL’s Atlantic Division. “Today, I made a very difficult decision with regards to a coaching change. Jim Montgomery is a very good NHL coach and an even better person.
