Brantford man, 56, dies after three-vehicle crash in St. Jacobs [Video]

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a fatal three-vehicle crash in St. Jacobs.

Police responded to reports of a serious collision at Hawkesville Road and Three Bridges Road just before 7 a.m. Monday.

A red Chevrolet, a white Toyota pickup truck, and a blue Kia SUV were involved in the crash.

The driver of the Kia, a 56-year-old Brantford man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota, a 35-year-old man from Wellesley Township, had non-life-threatening physical injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 30-year-old woman from Wilmot Township, did not have any physical injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours during the investigation. Police said the roads had reopened by 6:30 p.m.

No word yet if any charges are pending.

The investigation by WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit remains ongoing.
