Bridgewater, N.S., school placed in hold and secure Friday [Video]

A hold and secure was activated at a school in Bridgewater, N.S., Friday after police say threats were made against a student.

Bridgewater Police Service responded to Park View Education Centre on north King Street around noon after receiving a complaint about a threat made against one of the school’s students.

Police say the threat involved someone going to the school to harm a student.

Police arrested a young offender from Queens County outside of Bridgewater in connection with the incident.

The hold and secure was lifted shortly after 1 p.m., allowing school routines to resume as usual.

Police say they’re conducting interviews as the investigation continues. Charges are expected to be laid.
