Drummond Hogan had a brief, but life-changing chat recently with an Ontario lottery official — and it’s an exchange he won’t soon forget.
The Mississauga man, a father of two and grandfather of one, said the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation representative took a moment to set him straight on the exact amount of his win in the March 1 Lottario draw.
Hogan’s ticket matched all seven winning Encore numbers in order. As a result, the self-described occasional lotto player won $1 million.
“I first scanned my Lottario ticket using the OLG app and thought I’d won $1,000,” Hogan recalled while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his winnings. “It wasn’t until I spoke with an OLG representative that I realized I’d won $1 million.
