Calgary weather: Warm temperatures return to Calgary by Friday [Video]

Parts of southern Alberta woke up to patchy fog this morning with Environment and Climate Change Canada issuing a fog advisory for the Lethbridge area.

In Calgary, many folks probably walked out to a car covered in frost and may have encountered some misty conditions heading to work.

Temperatures were also brisk to start the day, hovering at around -8 C by 6 a.m. with the windchill making it feel more like -13.

Later today, we will see a bit of improvement, but remain below freezing and seasonal with a high of -3 C with mainly cloudy conditions.

A stationary front has been hovering over southern Alberta for the last several days, keeping areas east of Calgary like Medicine Hat and Brooks cool and areas to the west like Pincher Creek and Lethbridge more mild and seasonal.
