A dip in the atmosphere over British Columbia is bringing Northwest winds into the area which means today will be mostly cloudy. Later into the week, high pressure builds up and brings a beautiful warming spell.

Good Morning. Today the primary weather maker is going to be far above us to the North. A trough is dropping over British Columbia which will not allow high pressure to develop over the PNW. So, we will be seeing flow from the Northwest with imbedded moisture. These features make for a mostly cloudy day with temperatures near average for this time of year. The valley and the Basin near 60 while the Coast maintains about 55. Little energy is evident in today’s weather pattern, so rain chances are very low, but along the Coast, a stray shower could still develop from the moist onshore flow.
