Canada undercounted total number of non-permanent residents by 1M, possibly worsening housing crisis

The Canadian population recently reached the milestone of 40 million. But the number of non-permanent residents in Canada could be underestimated by about an additional one million, according to a new CIBC report.

That would mean government policies, especially surrounding housing, aren’t based on real statistics.
