Canada-wide warrant issued for sex offender who could be in Ontario, police say [Video]

Police are asking the public to help find a man convicted of sexual assault wanted on a Canada-wide warrant who could be in Ontario.

The OPP’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement squad said on Friday that investigators are searching for 55-year-old Darren Wheatley.

Police say Wheatley served a more than 10-year sentence for two counts each of sexual assault and sexual assault cause bodily harm and choking, and was then placed on a long-term supervision order.

The 55-year-old is wanted for a breach of his supervision order, and is known to frequent Parry Sound and the downtown core area of Toronto, and previously lived in B.C.
