A man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant in connection with a violent 2023 Mississauga home invasion robbery in which four culprits armed with a handgun terrorized and assaulted multiple victims has been arrested in Calgary.
Peel Regional Police said their counterparts in the Alberta city arrested Carlos Sance Castro, 25, of Calgary, last Wednesday and have since returned him to Peel to answer to the charges.
He’s charged with robbery, forcible confinement and assault causing bodily harm in relation to the Oct. 23, 2023 home invasion that targeted a house in the Mavis Road/Bristol Road West area of the city.
The people inside the home suffered numerous serious but not life-threatening injuries during the violent robbery, police said in a news release on Tuesday.
