When asked if there was a specific act that stood out for her, Dicke noted she’s been working for several years to get Pawakan Macbeth, which promises to be a very powerful and emotional show.
And no season would be quite the same without showcasing local talent. Donny Parenteau’s “Colours of the Sash” takes the stage on Sept. 18; Josh Stumpf will perform on Mar. 28; and LJ Tyson’s band Former Lovers will perform on Jan. 31. Tyson, who helped warm up the crowd for Wednesday night’s launch party, loves performing at the Rawlinson Centre.
“I’ve been getting the opportunity to perform on that stage since I was young during Search for the Stars so to be able to come back here and share the art that me and and my friends have created together, feels a little like full circle,” Tyson said.
