According to court documents, Border Patrol agents discovered the drugs hidden in compartments in an SUV parked at a Sandusky County service plaza.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A Canadian man has pleaded guilty to possessing 90 pounds of MDMA, also known as ecstasy, with intent to distribute after federal agents discovered the drugs concealed in a vehicle at an Ohio Turnpike service plaza.

According to court records, a U.S. Border Patrol agent on Aug. 7, 2024, observed a compact SUV with Canadian license plates parked at a service plaza near Interstate 80/90 in Sandusky County. A check of the license plate revealed the vehicle had entered the U.S. from Canada on Nov. 21, 2023, more than 180 days before the encounter.
