10:30 AM FORECAST UPDATE

Advisory lasts through 6 AM Saturday as Canadian wildfire smoke makes its way into our neighborhoods aided by an incoming cold front.

The Michigan Dept. of Environment, Great Lake, and Energy has issued an Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Michigan. This advisory is currently in effect and lasts through 6 AM Saturday.

The cold front that is progressing southward into the state of Michigan today will also aid in transporting the wildfire smoke from Manitoba and Saskatchewan into our neighborhoods this evening. Elevated values of PM2.5 or particulate matter are expected as the plumes move through our areas.

We could see elevated PM2.5 enter our neighborhoods around 7 PM Friday evening

We can expect air quality to rise in the Moderate to Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range. Timing for our neighborhoods to see elevated particulate matter begins around 7 PM this evening and last through Saturday morning.
