Headed into the Oval Office
Both Trump and Carney gestured with their fists in the air before heading inside.
They will soon be seated side-by-side in the Oval Office where reporters with the Canadian and U.S. press will try to bombard them with questions.

A friendly first handshake
Prime Minister Mark Carney was greeted at the White House by U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday, ahead of a high-stakes meeting that is expected to focus on trade and tariffs.
Carney and Trump were all smiles and exchanged a friendly handshake at the White House entrance. Trump met Carney at the front door of the West Wing.
There appeared to be no power moves through body language.
Fun historical fact: Trudeau practised his palm-up handshake on Trump’s shoulder on the plane down to Washington before their meeting. There was no sign of that today.
