The first weekend in spring may feel more like winter in southern Ontario and the GTA.
While temperatures soared to temperatures of 18 C on Wednesday, the weather is expected to turn for the weekend, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Rain and cooler temperatures of around 13 C are expected on Thursday. The temperature plunges to a high of about 2 C during the day on Friday.
Cold weather continues on Saturday when a high of 5 C and rain are forecast in Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, Burlington, Oakville and Durham Region. It could be slightly cooler in Hamilton.
Lows of around -9 C are expected Saturday night with a 30 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries, according to Environment Canada.
On Sunday, sunny skies and a high of 2 C are forecast. It could drop down to -1 C overnight. There is a 40 per cent chance of snow or rain Sunday evening.
