American singer-songwriter Chappell Roan is expressing some interest towards performing in Saskatchewan – after shouting out the province in a yet to be released song.
In a conversation with well-known celebrity interviewer Nardwuar on Dec. 15, Roan was asked about the land of the living skies.
“Saskatchewan, its in one of my new songs that hasn’t come out yet. It’s called The Subway,” the performer explained.
“I was looking at venues to try and play a show there. I owe it to them. I can’t sing a song about Saskatchewan and not go there and play a show.”
Roan debuted the unreleased song while performing at the Governor’s Ball in June, expressing a desire to leave the big city behind and move to Saskatchewan.
The 26-year-old artist from Missouri has gained considerable fame in the past year.
