Charges laid in break-ins in Mission, Abbotsford [Video]

A 32-year-old Mission resident has been charged in connection to a break-in that occurred in November, during which more than a dozen firearms were stolen.

Clayton Pierce has been charged with breaking and entering in connection to the incident, Mission RCMP announced in a news release Friday, adding that the stolen guns have not been recovered and “other suspects are still outstanding” in the case.

Pierce was arrested on Jan. 7 in Abbotsford, when officers from the Abbotsford Police Department, the RCMP’s Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment and Mission RCMP all responded to a break-in at a farm property on No. 4 Road.

At the time, Abbotsford police said on social media that they had set up “containment” around the large property and deployed a spike belt to stop a fleeing vehicle.
