Current bylaws require a sprinkler system is based on the number of storeys, the type of construction and where the building is located. Charlottetown Fire Department Chief Tim Mamye tells CBC’s Jane Robertson that the department continues to look into how bylaws around sprinklers in residential buildings could be changed.
