Hamilton’s building department has issued a stop-work order on the construction of a new house in Lansdale that led to the demolition of a home next door, The Spectator has learned.

Rob Lalli, director of the city’s building department, told The Spectator that early on April 3, staff responded to reports of a “compromised foundation” of a home at 54 St. Matthews Ave., near Barton Street East and Wentworth Street North.
