Montreal police have arrested two more suspects in the slaying of Claudia Iacono.
The 39-year-old woman was gunned down at the wheel of her vehicle outside of her salon in the Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (CDN-NDG) borough on May 16, 2023. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the two suspects, a man and a woman from Quebec, were arrested Friday morning and are expected to appear in court in the afternoon.
Shaniqwa Parris, 31, facing a manslaughter charge, according to a charge sheet. Kalial Nesfield, 28, is facing a first-degree murder charge.
Iacono was the daughter-in-law of the late Montreal Mafia associate, Moreno Gallo.
There have now been four people arrested in her killing, which marked the city’s eighth homicide in 2023.
The first suspect, Joel Richard Clarke, was arrested on June 6, 2023, in Toronto. A second suspect was later arrested in August of that year, also in Toronto.
Both men, who are in their 30s, were charged with first-degree murder.
