An award-wining coffee and sandwich shop has closed its doors after being open less than a year in downtown Brampton.
Cafe Nitro had its soft-opening at 29 Queen St. E back in September before moving to a new location at 23 Queen St. E, offering traditional coffee house drinks like lattes, cafe mochas cappuccinos, as well as caffeine-free creations and handheld eats including a build-your-own breakfast sandwich.
The cafe was given a Canadian Choice Award in January, but Cafe Nitro has shut down after around six months in business downtown Brampton.

The Brampton Downtown BIA confirmed the closing to INsauga.com. A request for comment from the cafe was not immediately returned.
Users on the social media website Reddit lamented Cafe Nitro’s closing, with one poster saying they “loved everything about them.”
