COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — The Idaho Internet Crimes against Children Task Force arrested a Kootenai County man for multiple child porn charges including three charges under a new law.
According to ICAC, 33-year-old Phillip Jack Lo was taken into custody Wednesday, July 10.
Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador says Lo was charged with seven counts of sexual exploitation of a child by possession of sexually exploitative material and three counts of possessing visual representations of the sexual abuse of children.
Labrador says Lo will be the first case prosecuted under a new Idaho law targeting AI-generated or animated child porn material. The law went into effect July 1.
