COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Colorado Parks and Wildlife said they plan to introduce up to 15 gray wolves into Colorado in 2025.
They said these wolves were coming from British Columbia and would be released between January and March of 2025.
CPW said as a part of this reintroduction, they and the Colorado Department of Agriculture also plan to expand and improve their conflict minimalization plan in many different ways.
These plans in part came from listening to stakeholders during their first year of the gray wolf restoration plan.
Parts of their conflict minimalization program included site assessments, increasing conflict specialist capacity, depredation response, trainings and more.
CPW said they also plan to continue local meetings and workshops on the western slope into 2025.
