As expected, we are finally coming out of the arctic air. Overnight temperatures have slowly rising back into positive territory. However, with a blustery southwest wind, our wind chills will still be below zero through this morning. While it’s still chilly, it won’t be as brutally cold as it has been the past couple days. Later this afternoon, our highs will rise into the low to middle 20s, with wind chills in the positive single digits and lower teens.

The wind will be gusty courtesy of our next weathermaker. It’s an “Alberta Clipper” tracking through the region today. This unorganized disturbance doesn’t have much moisture to work with. While we are expecting some occasional snow showers today and tonight, accumulations will be light. However a dusting to half an inch of fresh snow will create some slick spots, so drivers should be on their toes. The snow will be dry …
