Concern is growing for a missing boy last seen on Tuesday in Niagara Region.

Cyril Monteiro, 12, was last seen in the First Avenue and Rice Road area of Welland at approximately 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, Niagara Regional Police said.

On Thursday, police said they are once again appealing to the community to contact detectives immediately if Cyril is seen or his location is known.

“Due to his age and the ongoing lack of contact, there is an elevated concern for his safety and well-being,” police said.

Cyril may have been seen in the early afternoon of Wednesday, June 11 in the area of First Avenue and Quaker Road in Welland, police said.

He was believed to be travelling on foot.

Cyril is described as white, approximately 95 pounds, five-foot-three inches tall with a slender build, blue eyes and straight, shoulder length, dirty blonde hair.
