MOORHEAD, M.N. (Valley News Live) – Concordia College hosted its 34th annual Powwow Saturday afternoon on April 5.

The powwow started at noon with Grand Entries at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

A community meal was served from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The event was a vibrant celebration of Indigenous culture and featured traditional dance, music, and customs passed down through generations.

“I think it’s just to learn about the indigenous culture and hear authentic voices. Even if you want to purchase any of our items, we have a lot of vendors here. If anyone wants to help the Powwow, you can come to the silent auction and help us there,” said Anna Sheppard, president of White Earth Tribal Community College.

The powwow took place in the memorial auditorium, where admission was free for children 5 years and under and college students with ID.

General admission is $3 for youth, elders, and veterans.

Admission is $5 for adults.
