Brampton saw some of the biggest sales spikes in the Greater Toronto Area last month, with condos making huge gains and prices dropping across nearly all property types.
Sales in the Brampton real estate market saw an overall 33.6 per cent jump in April after months of lagging sales, according to a new report from Zoocasa.
Despite the big spike in sales, the average home price for all property types dropped by 1 per cent to $944,297 – a sign that buyers are returning to the market but are still “price-conscious,” the report says.
And while detached homes – the most popular property type in the city – led the Brampton market and dipped in price slightly, condo sales saw huge increases with larger price drops.
