Court documents say Jarvis Canada allegedly picked his son up from school while drunk before making his son get behind the wheel.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — A Bloomington man has been charged with three felonies after court documents say he allowed and 11-year-old to drive a vehicle while he was intoxicated. 

Jarvis Canada, 34, has been charged with OWI endangering a person under 18 years old, OWI with a prior conviction and neglect of a dependent, all felonies. 

According to court documents, on Feb. 18, a Bloomington Police Department officer was called to the 1100 block of West 3rd Street on a report that a man had allowed his 11-year-old son to drive a vehicle because he was intoxicated. The son had reportedly driven into a ditch at the address.
