DAME Helen Mirren has revealed her 12-minute exercise routine to look good at 79 — and it is based on a Canadian military workout.
The actress has sworn by the keep-fit regime since the 1960s.
It includes toe-touching, knee-raising, push-ups, leg lifting and jumping or running in place.
The daily workout was designed in the 1950s by Dr Bill Orban to boost the fitness of Canadian air force recruits.
It can be carried out in the smallest of spaces with minimal equipment.
Oscar-winner Helen told Woman’s Weekly: “Exercise doesn’t mean joining expensive gyms. I’ve never gotten past the second level but it’s a nice little programme.”
The King has also been said to incorporate Dr Orban’s exercise plans into his daily routine.
