Damian Priest showed love to the Caribbean culture in a major way at WWE WrestleMania 41.
Damian Priest squared off against Drew McIntyre in a Sin City Street Fight during WrestleMania Sunday. The Archer of Infamy donned a predominantly black outfit as Slayer icon Kerry King played him to the ring.
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot all the symbols on Priest’s gear with two fans in particular providing some solid explanation behind all the symbolism. A fan @glittermyth wrote Priest’s WrestleMania gear paid tribute to Taino, a culture indigenous to the Caribbean.
“I figured it out. The symbols on Damian’s mania gear are from Taíno culture, which is Indigenous to the Caribbean. It’s so cool that Damian was able to represent this part of his culture during wrestlemania!!!” the fan posted.
